Hamad International is the international airport for Doha. The airport it is also known as New Doha International Airport. It is located about 5 miles southeast of downtown Doha.
It is made up of concourse A – E
Concourse A which is the west side to check in, with a total of 10 gates numbered as A1, and A3 –A11.
You will find a Quiet room, Toilets, Telephones, Smoking Room, Wheelchair Assistance, Moving Walkways, Prayer Room, Computer Areas, Shops and Food and Beverages in concourse A.
Concourse B which is east side of check in, also has a total of 10 gates and these are numbered from B1 – B10.
You will find Shops, Food and Beverages, Quiet room, Toilets, Telephones, Smoking Room, Wheelchair Assistance, Moving Walkways, Prayer Room, Information Point, Computer Areas in concourse B.
Concourse C which is north side of check in, is made up of two levels. On level 1 there are 13 gates numbered from C1 – C13. On level 0 you will find gates C20 to C29.
You will find Children’s Play Area, Lifts, Quiet room, Toilets, Telephones, Shops, Food and Beverages, Smoking Room, Wheelchair Assistance, Moving Walkways, Prayer Room, Information Point, Computer Areas in concourse C.
Concourse D & E both of these are also north of check in. Both have gates from 1 to 4 (D1, D2, D3 and D4; E1, E2, E3 and E4) on the first floor and gates from 20 to 24 (D20, D21, D22, D23 and D24; E20, E21, E22, E23 and E24) on the ground floor.
You will find Quiet Rooms, Children’s Play Area, Computer Areas, Lifts, Escalators, Prayer Rooms, Toilets, Information, Currency Exchange, ATMs, Telephones, and Moving Walkways. Services on the second floor: Shops, Food and Beverages, Prayer Rooms, Escalators, Lifts, Moving Walkways, Toilets, Customs, Telephones, Quiet Rooms, Smoking Areas, ATMs on concourse D and E.
You have to pay for a one month visa at the airport, approach an immigration counter, present your passport and pay your visa. The easiest way to pay for your visa is with your credit or debit card, which can be done directly at passport control. The fee is dependent on your nationality. If you wish to pay with cash you will need to do so at the bank counter and there will be a charge of $7, the passport control counters cannot accept cash. Some countries will have to pay for their visa before arriving at the airport. Please refer to FAQ’s for which ones these are.
