SCRABBLE

I have been involved in playing Scrabble, organising tournaments and being a Tournament Director for 30 years. I originally, joined a Scrabble Club when I first moved to Edinburgh in the late 1980s and my love of the game developed from there. I was a Scottish champion and Master, started the Leith Scrabble Club and was Membership and committee Secretary to the Association of British Scrabble Players (ABSP) for 11 years. I am now a Life member of ABSP.

Nowadays, I organise weekend tournaments, direct tournaments worldwide and have recently become Chair of ABSP. Also, I am Tilefish, the ‘One Stop Scrabble Shop’. I do still play as often as possible and am currently playing in the Scottish League, Forth League, SILK and as many tournaments as possible wherever and whenever I can. I am often asked if I miss playing when I direct but directing is a different skill set and I play so often anyway that I do not miss playing when I direct.
